We were able to source an original 1960s Honda grand prix mechanic’s hat to create this accurate replica of the very hat worn by mechanics during the 1965 Formula 1 season, Honda’s second year in the sport. It’s an evolution of the all red 1964 hat with white side panels and updated branding.
Red & white mix cotton is period correct with flocked artwork and mild contrast stitching. The unique, period correct, flex-style closure was accurately replicated as well. The interior materials and construction are also spot-on save for the more practical sweat band. Get your piece of Honda history while you can.
